This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you ”Fettuccini Spinach (Zero Carb) and Chicken with Carb Zero Toast (Zero Carbs).” This morning I decided to have a little feast, starting my day off right! So in my frying pan, I used a little unrefined coconut oil, and then added my chicken and spinach. A little salt and pepper work their way into the pan as well, and meanwhile I get my fettuccini ready…. But it’s your average pasta, its Miracle Noodle Fettuccini, made with shiritaki and made without any calories as well! Yeah, you read that right! It’s zero calories, soy free, wheat and gluten free, and guilt free! That’s why I was able to eat two servings and have no remorse! And it’s made in the good ‘ole United States of America! Plus, there’s no fat, starch, sugar and also zero net carbs! And, I think it tastes great with a little olive oil or Paleo Butter. What’s Paleo Butter? It’s this wonderfully tasting ghee that Julian Bakery offers, made from grass-fed cows and loaded with nutrition (CLA Tonalin, Vitamin A, Vitamin K2, and Vitamin D). And in this case, it tasted great with my Miracle Noodle Fettuccini, along with a touch of salt and pepper. Finally I decided to have a side of Julian Bakery’s Carb Zero, with a dab of that lovely Paleo Butter to bring out the flavor. I went with cinnamon, and although it may sound odd with fettuccini, spinach and chicken, I thought it was a great addition anyways!

Ingredients:

• Coconut oil for frying pan

• Chicken breast

• Spinach

• Miracle Noodle Fettuccini

• 2 tsp Paleo Butter

• Sea salt and black pepper to taste

• 1 slice Carb-Zero Bread

Directions:

1) Cook chicken and spinach to your liking in frying pan

2) When chicken and spinach are close to being done, wash Miracle Noodle Fettuccini and boil in water for one minute, then strain and rinse, and plate.

3) Toast Carb-Zero Bread to your liking, then plate and add a dab of Paleo Butter.

4) Plate your chicken and spinach.

5) Salt and pepper to taste.

6) Add Paleo Butter to Miracle Noodle Fettuccini

Prep Time:

• 2 minutes

Cook Time:

• 20 minutes

This was a great breakfast, loaded with great nutrition and also low in carbs and calories! But never lacking in the taste department! I thoroughly enjoyed the Miracle Noodle Fettuccini with a little Paleo Butter mixed in, and the same with my Carb-Zero Bread and the Paleo Butter. Both were delicious and both complimented my spinach and chicken very well. I am glad I found Julian Bakery online, as they are my go to website for all sorts of great low calorie, low carb foods…. Not to mention they use the best of ingredients that keep me and my family happy and healthy! Their Carb Zero Bread is also loaded with fiber and protein, which keeps us feeling fuller longer, and the gluten-free oat fiber is scientifically proven to stabilize blood sugar all day long when eaten in the morning.

“Daddy! I’m hungry!” When I hear these infamous words from my four year old daughter, I immediately start thinking about what (healthy) meal I can prepare for her. My wife and I really try to give her the best of foods; we try to stay away from processed/boxed meals… And with today’s fast paced society, it really is tough. Especially bringing your child to the supermarket, with all the colors and characters on boxes, it’s tempting for any kid.

Today she wanted an egg sandwich, one of her favorite meals actually. But the big decision is in the bread and the proteins. Since we use Julian Bakery breads in our household, it’s a no brainer. Today I am giving her cinnamon Carb Zero. It’s healthy and tasty, and is made with cinnamon and apple cider vinegar, two of my favorite healthy ingredients! When it comes down to what’s between the bread, we go with local eggs, and nitrate-free ham. It’s all about making important decisions, but thanks to Julian Bakery, it’s that much easier for us.

Ingredients:

• 1 slice of Carb Zero™ bread

• 1 egg

• 2 slices nitrate-free ham

• Butter

Directions:

1) Toast bread

2) Cook egg in frying pan

3) Add ham when egg is almost done

4) When toast is complete, combine with ham & egg

5) Cut in ½

• 1 minutes

Cook Time:

• 8 minutes

Serves:

• 1

After I served this meal to Ali, and I saw her smile, I was pleased and my job was done as a parent. Feeding my daughter a nutritious meal, rather than a highly processed meal, is important to me. I want her to have good fats for proper brain development, I want her eating her protein, and I want her breads to have the best ingredients available. The tricky part with children is getting in the greens, having them to eat something like spinach or kale, or avocado… And liking it. I can hear it now: “YUK!” Maybe Julian Bakery needs to get into the veggy-bread line-up. But until then, it’s ultimately my job to try to get the greens in. And it’s Julian Bakery’s job to keep the healthy breads showing up at my door-step.

Please visit http://www.julianbakery.com for their full line-up of nutritious products that your child can grow up with. This is Dan from Primal4Life, encouraging all adults to try to get the best ingredients to your children’s’ plates.

If you’re diabetic, or are close to someone who is, you’re familiar with the importance of keeping blood sugar levels stable throughout the day. This can be challenging because foods have different glycemic levels that affect our bodies differently. Consuming foods with a low glycemic index is good for everyone, and crucial for those with diabetes. Being diabetic forces constant awareness of the choices we make and whether they will impact our blood sugar levels because, for some, it is a matter of ending up in the hospital.

Following a diet that is overall low in carbohydrates is helpful to diabetics because it is the foods that are rich in carbohydrates that contain the most sugar, or the highest glycemic index. Bread is usually out of the question, or consumed with great moderation. Carb Zero Bread makes it possible for those who are on a strict diabetic diet to enjoy bread without spiking their blood sugar levels. Carb Zero Bread’s formulation was created with this in mind.

Oat Fiber, one of the ingredients found in Carb Zero Bread contains beta-glucan. Studies show that beta-glucan has beneficial effects on diabetes such as stabilized blood sugar levels throughout the day. Starting the day with a slice of Carb Zero Bread with an egg is a great way to keep you going all day long. Beta-glucan has also been proven to lower bad cholesterol.

In addition to our original Carb Zero Bread, we offer cinnamon Carb Zero Bread. Cinnamon contains qualities that have a positive impact on blood sugar levels and many diabetics look to incorporate it into their diets for extra assurance to keep blood sugar levels constant. It can be sprinkled on foods, but our bread already contains it so you can grab it and go!

We understand how many restrictions we tend to put on ourselves to keep fit and healthy without having any additional dietary conditions to account for. Carb Zero Bread makes it possible to enjoy the best of both worlds, even when we thought we couldn’t.

Carb Zero Bread was designed for you; Julian Bakery’s goal is to provide our customers with not only diet friendly options, but healthy options. There are plenty of diet foods out there on the market. They’re in high demand especially for those looking to shed some pounds fast, but unfortunately where they’re often lacking is in the health department; at Julian’s we want both. It is not enough to just help you lose weight; we want you to do it the right way: enjoy your food, do not feel like you’re missing out on “the good stuff”, and have wholesome nutrition to keep your system working efficiently. We also realize people have food allergies which is why we created our bread gluten free.

Here are some things we do a little differently:

We do not include sucralose (an artificial sweetener) like many other diet products out there because studies have shown that to be harmful to the body and have negative effects for dieting such as false feelings of hunger.

Carb Zero Bread contains two forms of beneficial fiber: organic gluten free oat fiber and psyllium husk. Both of types of fiber has the ability to lower total cholesterol including the LDL or “bad” cholesterol which leads to heart problems and puts people at increased risks of type 2 diabetes. Consuming foods that are high in fiber helps to move food along in your digestive tract and keep you regular, a key component to weight loss. Fiber also slows the rate at which sugar is absorbed into the bloodstream keeping your glucose levels at a constant avoiding that sugar spike causing us to overeat. A high fiber diet can also help your immune system since many illnesses begin in the GI tract—the very place all that fiber is helping to keep it clean and clear.

Our Bread is high in protein; we know it’s good to avoid too many carbs, but it’s even better to replace them with a high protein content as well. We use egg whites; they are vegetarian friendly, low in calories, no sugar, and very high in protein.

Our goal was to create a product to help people achieve weight loss, provide a great tasting Bread that can be eaten and stay within the guidelines of a low-carb diet, appeal to those who have other dietary restrictions such as gluten intolerance, and provide nutritional health benefits to keep your body working optimally. Low-carb diets promotes a range of health benefits helping to keep off harmful belly fat and constant fluctuations in blood sugar levels both which contribute to cardiovascular problems. Knowing we can provide our customers with a product that contributes to your better health and well-being, we’re happy.

Anyone who has tried a low-carb diet, even for a short amount of time, can attest to the undeniable results it has on the body. There is a reason low carb diets gained a lot of popularity and became so well known: it works. Studies have shown that curbing carbohydrates is more effective than cutting calories for individuals, who want to quickly reduce the amount of fat in their liver. The same study showed the study participants on the low-carb diet (vs. the just the low calorie diet) lost more liver fat than just restricting calories alone.

So what is the reason many people do not end up sticking to it? It’s too restrictive. We all need a little balance in our lives and that is where Carb Zero Bread comes into the equation. Sticking to a low carb diet and still having a slice of toast for breakfast, a sandwich at lunch, or a slice with your dinner? Carb Zero Bread provides the satisfaction we look for in a meal without the high amount of carbohydrates, sugars, and calories we would get from a regular piece of bread. In addition, Carb Zero Bread provides 9 grams of protein, 9 grams of dietary fiber, and is gluten free. In comparison to a slice of 100% Whole Grain Whole Wheat Bread, we’re looking at a difference of 40 calories, 4 grams of protein, 3 grams of sugar, and 11 grams of carbohydrates! How is this so? The main ingredients formulated by Julian Bakery to make the bread so healthful. It is the psyllium and organic gluten free oat fiber that gives the bread such a high fiber content and the egg whites providing low calorie and fat content without missing out on all the protein. One of the most redeeming factors to sticking to a low carb diet is the overall effects it has on cravings and satiety in general. The more protein and fiber we have in our diets, incorporating it into each meal, leaves us feeling full longer and reduces our urge to purge on snacks or sugary treats helping with both weight loss and weight maintenance. This is because it keeps our bodies at a constant; the more carbohydrates we consume, the more our bodies have to work to measure the right levels of insulin which directly affect our appetite levels. Fiber and sugar alcohols have a minimal effect on blood sugar which is why Carb Zero Bread is so effective.

We all need a little motivation and balance in order to stick to our diets and shed unwanted extra pounds. Carb Zero Bread provides us the pleasure without the pain.

Carb Zero Bread is made of a variety of ingredients aiming at good health. Two of our main ingredients, pysllium and organic gluten free oat fiber, both great sources of fiber, contribute to a range of health benefits. Fiber keeps the digestive tract healthy and consistent. Other benefits of consuming fiber:

Healthy heart: a diet high in fiber has the ability to lower cholesterol and reduces the risk of heart disease.

Keeps you regular

Fiber pushes out fat: it picks up fats and bile salts shuttling them out of the body rather than letting then travel to the bloodstream

A natural sugar blocker

Avoid constipation and digestive problems including prevention of hemorrhoids, diverticulitis, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Keeping off belly fat dodging cardiovascular disease

Maintain or even lose weight

Keeps us fuller longer

Healthier immune system: 80 percent of your immune system is actually housed in your digestive tract. As a result, keeping your immune system strong means taking steps to ensure your digestive tract is in optimal condition.

Helps to control the pH balance in the intestines

Healthy colon

Ideally, men should look to consume roughly 30-40 grams of fiber per day, women about 20-25 depending on age. Carb Zero Bread contains 9 grams alone! Spread avocado on top and you’re looking at almost 15 grams of fiber in one go. Have a sandwich and that’s 18 grams of fiber before you’ve even filled it!

The protein content in Carb Zero Bread is also 9 grams per slice again making it easy to meet the daily dietary requirements. Consuming an adequate amount of protein (around 45 grams a day for women, 55 for men) provides:

Healthy muscles and bones

Helps to prevent against osteoporosis

Vegetarian source of protein easier to digest and absorb

Healthy skin and hair: collagen, the structural tissue that keeps us looking young, is made up of protein.

Proteins building blocks are amino acids which we need for the construction of new body tissue, antibodies, enzymes, our blood cells and hormones. In order to maintain good health we need a balance of all these that can be found through our diet. Incorporating Carb Zero Bread as a part of a balanced diet makes it easier to achieve such goals.

Carb Zero Bread fits into any diet plan whether you’re looking to lose weight, maintain your current weight, are gluten intolerant, or diabetic. Seeing “gluten free” on a label attracts those who have gluten intolerance, but should not deter those who have the option of consuming regular bread too. Carb Zero bread is not just gluten free nor is it just good if you’re trying to shed unwanted pounds; it has a variety of health benefits to offer anyone due to its low calorie, no sugar, high protein and fiber content. All of these benefits are beneficial to anyone because it keeps our body running efficiently.

It also satisfies those who try to stay away from bread entirely because now it can be consumed without the guilt. It satisfies those who love having bread regularly because it is does not skimp on taste, but provides all the added nutritional benefits minus all the carbohydrates and calories so those who switch to Carb Zero Bread should see and feel a difference. Even children can eat Carb Zero Bread! Kids love sweets and the more healthy foods that can be incorporated into their diets while still making it pleasurable and fun for them, both parents and children alike are happy.

When we see certain foods targeted to a particular demographic of people, like diabetics, it may deter us from choosing that particular item because we figure we do not have to eat something made for someone else. In actuality there is probably something even better about that product because it has been customized and altered for a particular set of people in mind. Carb Zero fits that category; a lot of thought and testing have gone into making the Bread just right.

How and where does it work its way into your diet? It’s not just for sandwiches! Bread is a versatile food that’s easy to incorporate into any lifestyle whether you’re always on the run or work from home. It’s also great way to fuel up before hitting the gym. Carb Zero Bread alone is a great snack under 100 calories and high in protein and fiber. Spread a little hummus or peanut butter on there and you’re still around only 100 calories (unless you really love peanut butter…then maybe closer to 150) and you just added more pack to the punch all the while gluten free, diabetic friendly, diet friendly, and DELICIOUS!

If you like bread, Carb Zero is for you.
